TravelWide is a community-powered travel discovery app in development. It is designed to bring map discovery, recommendations from real travellers and practical advice into one place, helping you move from an interesting idea to a more informed decision about your trip.

The website introduces the app and its beta waitlist. The planned app is where people will explore places, ask questions and share their experience with travel communities.

TravelWide is for every traveller, however you choose to explore. Whether you travel solo, as a couple, with friends or as a family, it is being built to help you discover places and find advice that fits your interests, budget and plans. From a weekend close to home to a longer adventure, the aim is to make useful travel knowledge easier to find.

Travellers and creators with useful experience to share are part of the same community. You do not need to be a professional content creator to contribute a recommendation or answer a question.

TravelWide aims to make it easier to connect inspiration with the information you need to act on it. A photograph might introduce a place, but working out the journey, likely costs and fit for your interests can mean searching through disconnected posts and conversations.

The planned experience brings locations, firsthand accounts and relevant communities together. The goal is a clearer path from discovering somewhere to understanding it, without making you piece every detail together on your own.

The experience we are building connects three steps: finding inspiration, exploring the detail and deciding what suits your trip. You might discover a coastal walk, look at its surroundings on the map and read what another traveller says about reaching it.

If a question remains, a destination or interest-based community can provide more perspectives. This is an illustration of the intended experience; TravelWide is still being developed and beta features may change as people test them.

Map discovery is intended to help you explore recommendations in the context of their surroundings. Instead of seeing a place in isolation, you can look at an area, notice nearby experiences and read the information travellers have shared about them.

That context can help you assess whether a stop fits your plans. The planned map is a way to discover places and understand an area; the marketing website does not offer a working map or navigation tool.

Travel community hubs are planned spaces for conversations around a destination or the way you like to travel. A solo traveller exploring a city and a backpacker planning a hike may need different advice, even when they are visiting the same region.

Hubs are intended to bring that shared context into the conversation. You can ask a specific question, compare experiences and pass on what helped you, making the advice more relevant to the journey you are considering.

Useful contributions can explain what a place was like to visit: how someone got there, when they went, what they paid and what they would do differently. Photographs and personal recommendations become more helpful when they include this practical context.

A traveller’s experience is a perspective, not a guarantee that conditions will be the same for your visit. Time-sensitive details such as prices, access and transport should be checked with the relevant provider or official source before you rely on them.

Your unique travel profile is the personal space we are building for your experiences, recommendations and community contributions. It is intended to reflect your perspective as a traveller and give other people context for the advice you share.

A useful answer, a memorable discovery and the story behind a photograph can all contribute to that picture. Here, unique means personal to you: your places, your interests and your experience. The final profile features will be confirmed during development.

Travel creators are welcome to express interest in the beta and help shape a community built around useful travel knowledge. The planned app gives creators a place to add context to their discoveries, contribute recommendations and take part in conversations with people interested in a destination or travel style.

We are looking for firsthand knowledge and a willingness to answer practical questions. Audience growth, paid partnerships, earnings and particular levels of exposure are not promised as part of the beta.

Recommendations from verified human travellers are part of TravelWide’s intended direction: putting real people behind the advice. The verification process is still being developed, so the website does not demonstrate a completed verification system or verified accounts.

Confirming that an account belongs to a person would not, on its own, prove that they visited a location or that every recommendation is accurate. The checks, their limits and how they are displayed will need to be explained clearly before any verification claim is used in the live app.

TravelWide is in development, with the beta planned for later in 2026. Joining the waitlist reserves your beta place; the app is not available to download through this website yet.

The number shows how many places remain on the current waitlist. It includes existing registrations and updates as new travellers join. A new email address takes one place; signing up again with the same address does not take another.

Joining the TravelWide beta waitlist is free and does not require payment details. It does not create a paid subscription or commit you to buying the app.

Pricing for the app and any beta participation terms have not been confirmed. Any charges and relevant terms will be explained before someone is asked to take part in a paid product or feature.

Selecting “Join the beta” reserves your beta place and requests the TravelWide newsletter, as explained above the button. It includes behind-the-scenes updates, travel inspiration and community news. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime without losing your beta place.

You can stop newsletter emails without giving up your beta place. Reply to an email or use the contact details on our Privacy page to change your preferences. An earlier beta-only signup is not automatically turned into a newsletter subscription.
